(a.k.a. Wee Willy Winky)
Rusty was Ali and Nikki Demma's first pony, and when the girls outgrew him many years ago, he was donated to Foxfield by their mom, Annette. Today he teaches kids to ride in the Hitchcock Ring, but over the years he has had several special jobs. As you can see by the picture, he performed honorably as our "cart horse" during all kinds of special occasions, including camp, Christmas caroling through the neighborhood across the street, and at our anniversary party, where he took little children on rides around Foxfield.
This special chestnut pony with the beautiful flaxen mane and tail was also the "stand-up horse" for the drill team in many performances throughout the state. Not just any horse can do that job.
One of Rusty's real claims to fame is that he was JoAnn's trail horse at Foxfield North Ranch in Coarsegold. Only problem was, the kids and trainers here liked him so much, he hasn't taken a vacation up there in years! Rusty has been a mainstay at Foxfield and we will be forever grateful that he came to live with us.
