a.k.a. Musical ToyThis
special Anglo-Arab has been at Foxfield since he was 2 years old.
Before becoming a school horse, he spent many years as a successful
hunter and jumper. Just look how he tucked his knees in the photo below!
Phillip is "voice broke" and extremely well schooled. He has
been teaching young riders the art of equitation for many years, and
remains one of our favorites. Besides
lessons and the show ring, Phillip was selected to perform a difficult
solo routine during drill performances. He demonstrated side passes,
halts, turns and intricate western-style maneuvers such as walking and
backing through an L-shaped obstacle without touching it.
Being the
"showman" that he is, he always finished with a bow to the crowd! For
those of you who are unfamiliar with the Foxfield Equestrian Team, they
ride without the aid of saddle or bridle! February, 2004
