Cornflakes came to us from the Hart Ranch in 1999. When Jessie White took her first trip out there with Nancy and JoAnn, she rode a dozen horses and came home with Lily, Honeybear, ... and Cornflakes. At the time he was not her favorite ride and she wasn’t sure he would work out in the school. He was crazy!

What a difference a little “seasoning” at Foxfield makes. In the eight years he has lived here, Corny has proven to be a very valuable asset to the teaching staff. He is honest and brave and can take intermediate to advanced riders around any course. His loyal fans over the years have included Linda Blumenthal, Virginia Bartlett and Camille Fagan along with a host of other riders. Camille wrote...
Cornflakes is my favorite school horse. He has the sweetest personality and is always happy. Whenever I walk up to the second corral gate and call him he comes up to me for kisses and carrots. His favorite thing in the world is carrots! He loves attention and to be adored. Cornflakes is a wonderful horse to love and to ride....His gaits are so smooth. He does his best to keep the rider safe and happy. Sometimes he can be lazy, but if you use your leg he will do whatever you ask him to do. He absolutely loves to jump, especially in the field. He does such a good job of tucking his knees in. If you asked him to jump the moon I know that he would put his best effort into it. Cornflakes is always trying his best with everything he does, whether it’s helping a rider learn or showing off with an advanced rider. If you ever see (him) out in a lesson you will see that he is definitely a happy horse doing what he loves to do.
As with all our tried and true horses, Foxfield is very fortunate to have found such a wonderful school master. We wouldn’t trade him for the world!
