Buffy

As most of you know, Buffy is Bill’s yellow lab and is, according to him, “the best dog we’ve got. Just don’t ask her to get on the scale!” 

He's probably afraid that she will turn out to weigh almost as much as some of the ponies around here, which is why we are featuring her as an honorary School Horse of the Month this month – even though you can’t actually ride her. 

On August 1, 1995, at the ripe old age of 14 months, Buffy gave birth to a small litter of puppies. Well, not so small. There were an even dozen! Three of the “pups” can still be found running around Foxfield – Jilly, Meeko and occasionally Jenny and Mark Watring’s dog, Rolex. Other Foxfielders adopted her offspring, including Sara Anderson and Tom & Karin Strazsewki. Buffy has developed a real fondness for JoAnn’s Siamese-mix cat, “Monkey” (they love to play together), but what she really likes is to accompany Bill on his frequent trips to the Ranch. The two of them are inseparable!
