Summer Horseback Riding Camp Facilities |
Living Quarters Campers at Foxfield live in one of the camp's five dormitory-style cabins. Each is named for a different breed of pony—Shetland, Connemara, Welsh, Hackney and Polo Ponies. Campers are divided by age; the youngest girls stay in Shetland and the oldest stay in Polo Ponies. Each sleeps six campers and one counselor—except for Polo Ponies, which can accommodate up to ten. All cabins are equipped with bunk beds and dressers, along with a full bath. Horses Foxfield maintains a large group of school horses for every level of rider. For campers wishing to bring their own horses, Foxfield offers a limited number of portable stalls. Counselors Foxfield's counselors are all experienced horse people and love working with kids. A few of them have ridden at Foxfield for many years; some are previous campers; and all share a deep love of horses and riding. Other Amenities Other amenities include a swimming pool, large dining hall, People-Jumping area, and a well-supplied tack room. There are three arenas--two of them lighted--and two cross-country fields. |
