Summer Horseback Riding Camp Enrollment |
Foxfield offers five terms of camp for girls each summer. The camp has been very popular for more than three decades, and enrollment is very limited.
Application Form
Foxfield offers a downloadable application form and a Fixture Card with pricing information. Both documents are in Adobe Acrobat format.
You can fill the application out online, but you cannot submit it electronically. After completing it online, you'll have to print it and mail it to Foxfield along with your deposit.
To access the online application form and fixture card, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 4 or higher) if you don't have it already.
You can also request a paper application by e-mailing Foxfield or by calling 805-495-5515 during business hours. Please note that the application form will only be accepted between December 1st and the first day of the session you are requesting.
Foxfield accepts camp applications from December to the first day of camp, but fills almost all of its spots some time before camp begins. Foxfield does not begin to process camp applications until February 1st.
Foxfield will continue to accept applications even after all its spots are filled, and will add these applicants to its waiting list.
Waiting List Policy
Waiting lists are kept by age group, so if a ten year old cancels, her spot will be filled by another ten year old waiting to attend the same session. Foxfield is always looking for new campers, but it does give priority to returning students. In order to get preference, returning students must file their applications by the end of January.
Cost
For summer, 2009, each two-week session costs $2,100.00. The mid-August one-week session costs $1,300.00.
Camper's Own Horse
Campers may bring their own horses for an additional $250.00 per term . Stalls are limited and are on a first-come basis. Price includes individual box stall and alfalfa hay fed twice per day . Different diet, extra feed or grain must be provided by camper and brought in covered containers with name and lock. everything . Foxfield is not responsible for lost or damaged equipment. Horses must vacate stalls Saturday by 10am. Every horse must have health certificate stating horse’s health and that all shots are current.
Deposits
A $100.00 deposit is required for each term. The deposit is fully refundable if the applicant is not assigned a spot at camp. But, due to limited enrollment, deposits cannot be refunded to applicants who have been offered a spot in camp unless Foxfield receives written notice of cancellation at least thirty days before the assigned session is due to begin.
Refunds
No refunds will be given once a session has begun for any reason.
Discounts
Foxfield does not offer discounts for more than one member of a family attending camp, nor are there discounts for a camper who attends more than one session.
Payment
All money is due in the Foxfield office by May 15 for all sessions. If the balance owed is not received at the Foxfield office by the due date, the spot will be given to another camper, and the deposit will not be refunded.
